Reports To: Manager, National Rugby League (NRL) Fan Relationship Management Centre.

Position Overview: The Aspire Group and The National Rugby League have begun to develop a world-class membership and ticket sales force in Sydney, NSW. This is a first of its kind effort and aims to be a landmark program for the NRL. Each Sales Consultant will be assigned to one (1) specific NRL club and be directly responsible for generating sales for that club.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales to be generated predominately through outbound phone calls. Sales and revenue will also be generated through email marketing, sales specific events and face-to-face appointments.

  • Ongoing identification and development of new sales and membership programs and opportunities.
  • Maintain records of all prospects and customers within ticketing database.
  • Regular reporting
  • Partner and collaborate with peers to leverage existing programs and present an integrated Fan and Members approach, profile and brand.
  • Build rapport with existing connections to maintain networks internally and externally.
  • Liaise with key NRL Club stakeholders
  • Represent the Rugby League at all times internally and externally to promote a positive profile, brand awareness and perception of Rugby League within the community.
  • Understand relevant policy and planning to ensure individual compliance.
  • Adhere to existing policies and processes to ensure adequate governance and compliance with company standards and regulations.

 Qualifications & Requirements:

Employment Conditions:

Sales Consultant - University of Maryland Athletics - The Aspire Group (College Park, MD)

Full Time Position (40hrs/week) Directly Reports To: Director of Sales & Service, Fan Relationship Management Center (FRMC)

Position Overview:
University of Maryland Athletics and The Aspire Group seek a teachable, positive and passionate individual who is committed to becoming a sports sales industry leader. Sales Consultant’s revenue will be generated primarily via outbound phone calls. These calls will be supplemented with email marketing, face-to-face presentations and in-arena/stadium tours. Day-to-day leadership and mentoring of this career growth oriented sports sales development program will be provided by the Director of Sales & Service, FRMC. Sales Consultants will receive the tools, programs, and systems necessary for them to "BE GREAT."

The Raise Your Game Executive Development Program is a 36 month development cycle designed to accelerate Aspire's Sales Consultants into management positions. The Aspire Group provides career growth opportunities by preparing staff with a foundation in Ticket Marketing, Sales and Service, Sales Management, Sport Business Management and Life Skills. The Raise Your Game Executive Development Program is recognized as one of the most progressive management training program in the sport industry.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Duties include performing outbound calls for University of Maryland Athletics with a concentration on Football, Men’s & Women’s Basketball and additional Olympic Sports.

Inventory which is available for sale from the University of Maryland FRMC include, but not limited to:
1) Premium/corporate FB season tickets

2) FB, MBB & WBB Season Tickets

3) Season Ticket upgrades and Add-ons

4) Group Tickets

5) Partial/ Mini-Plan Ticket Packages

6) Single game tickets

7) Corporate suites and hospitality

Responsibilities:
• Meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals while exceeding client expectations in value and customer service.
• Grow sales significantly each week by attracting additional business leads.
• Be prepared to sell on behalf of University of Maryland Athletics & The Aspire Group.
• Maintain computerized records of all prospects and customers within the Paciolan (Ticketing) database.
• Make 100 outbound calls daily.
• Availability to work Athletic events including home games and special events. Reps are expected to work between 20-30 games/events during each calendar year.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by Director.

Qualifications & Requirements:
• Desire to start and grow a career in the sports ticket sales industry or collegiate athletics
• Computer proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook) and detail oriented
• Previous customer service or retail sales experience; display a genuine desire to help people
• Excellent communication, presentation and listening skills
• Professional image and demeanor
• Ability to work well with others and comfortable taking initiative
• Little or no ticket sales experience required

Compensation:

Competitive base pay, plus commissions based on meeting weekly sales goals. Upon reaching 6-month mark with company – granted vacation benefit (10 days) and eligible for health/dental benefit package. Eligible to enroll in Aspire 401K plan offering at 12-month mark. Sick/Emergency PTO upon date of hire (5 days).
