Position Overview:  The Aspire Group seeks a teachable, positive and passionate individual that is committed to becoming a sports industry leader. This role will support the Miami University FRMC through analytics and communications.

Database Marketing Coordinator will assist with:

1.      E-mail Marketing Best Practices

This includes; contact strategies, data capture and campaign analysis, deliverability, and CAN-SPAM compliance.

2.      FRMC & Business Reporting 

This includes the use of Business Intelligence technologies like DOMO, Tableau etc. You will need to custom design dashboard using such BI tools to support the FRMC.

3.      Data Mining & Data Analytics
This includes the ability to sift through data within a table environment. Prior understanding of relational database architecture as well as multi-dimensional database design is a plus.


The ideal candidate is a smart, creative, analytical thinker, who excels in applying marketing and organizational skills to a rapidly changing environment.

We expect the Coordinator, Database Marketing to remain current on e-mail marketing best practices. This includes; contact strategies, data capture and campaign analysis, deliverability, and CAN-SPAM compliance. The ideal candidate is a smart, creative, analytical thinker, who excels in applying marketing and organizational skills to a rapidly changing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Timely execution of promotional email campaigns – including creating templates, coding and editing HTML, tracking, writing queries, testing and proofing.
  • Create engaging marketing emails and web content.
  • Build customer and prospect lists for phone, email and direct mail campaigns based on segmentation criteria
  • Provide quality assurance and apply best practices on all promotional emails.
  • Maintain email calendar.
  • Provide Sales and Marketing Operations support to Athletic Department
  • Update and analyze email and web performance reports
  • Create, test and maintain event pages and online survey forms using WYSIWYG software.
  • Develop reports to assist sales in evaluating sales performance
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in e-mail marketing, direct marketing or database marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS
  • Working knowledge of Photoshop or photo editing programs
  • Previous experience with Pacmail
  • Previous experience with Google Analytics
  • Exceptional project management skills and attention to detail
  • Meets or exceeds timelines in a fast-paced environment

Compensation: Competitive Base Salary and potential bonus for FRMC exceeding its revenue goals.  Competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, other voluntary health benefits and 401k with matching program.
